SUMMARY:Calm and Soothe the Nervous System with Breath-Body-Mind Techniques
DESCRIPTION:We begin with some moving and shaking to rid the body of its first layer of stress and get the circulation moving.  We then progress to more focussed breathwork with moving meditations\, which are all in preparation for the 15 – 20 mins of Coherent Breathing at the end.  This breath practice will allow the body time to recover and repair\, leaving you feeling calmer\, and ready for the day and weekend ahead. These sessions are applicable and open to all.  We will begin the session by practicing some energising breath techniques to help us to shed our first layer of stress.  We will then be following with some balancing breath meditations and finishing up with 15 mins of Coherent Breathing.   An excellent breath practice for activating our “rest and repair” function in our nervous system.  All you need is a comfy chair\, room to stand and a place to lie down for the relaxation if you wish. \n\n\n\n All money raised will go to the Samaritans\, donate if you wish\, or if money is tight right now\, then just enjoy the session and no donation necessary. SUMMARY:Rebalance your Body and Mind Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Has last year left you feeling not as much yourself as you could be?  For many of us the pandemic has been a traumatic time  and although it has been very challenging it is encouraging to remember that we do have a natural inclination to heal\, given the right conditions.  To support you in your recovery\, I am offering a 2.5 hour workshop where you will be supported to release your stress and rebalance your nervous system.  In a small supportive group  you will be taken through a range of postures and breath practices which are specifically chosen to support the optimal functioning of your nervous system.  You will learn how the nervous system functions in times of stress and find your way to discover which practices work best for you.  The aim is to have you leaving the session feeling relaxed\, grounded\, with a renewed energy and some knowledge and skills you can put into practice independently.  All participants will leave with a handbook of all the breath and movement practices taught during the workshop
