One of the profound lessons from contemporary neuroscience research is that our sense of ourselves is anchored in a vital connection with our bodies

Who is Trauma Informed Practice Training for?

Trauma Informed Practice Training is for anyone who works alongside children and families and would like to know more about the impact of traumatic, adverse experiences on our brain development. Training participants learn how we can build resilience around children, families and ourselves.

Course methods

This course is a mixture of practical and theoretical Trauma Informed Practice learning. A mixed method of learning will be applied, such as the use of case study, self-reflection, videos, and small and large group work. There will also be a small amount of self-regulation teaching which we can also teach to children and parents and our own families.

For the virtual learning option there will also be the use of pre-recorded videos.

Course feedback

Excellent content, thought provoking and inspiring, excellently presented and facilitated by Suzi

The learning material is excellent

I really enjoyed the training today and the interaction with everybody, it was great to hear different opinions and views from different agencies. The learning material is excellent and it definitely empowered me as a individual and made me realise how far I have come and how I can use my experience to help others and have the knowledge to pick things up at an early stage. The day went very quickly and it was nice to have some time out to to develop my skills further. I am looking forward to putting them to some use. Thank you very much Suzi and the rest of the team for your time.

A really informative session… thank you

A really informative session which although virtual was interactive and brought in personal involvement. The day was well organised and provided a good balance of break out sessions and personal study time. I personally felt this broke the day so it was not so intensive on the just watching one screen” Thank you”

Training was fantastic

Training was fantastic. Supported different learning styles and opened up good discussions. Found the whole day a bit over stimulating and intense and would personally benefit form 2 x half day sessions rather than an 8 hour day.
